PERSONALITY you know what common wisdom says about crazy people: they're the only ones who don't think that they're crazy. well, common wisdom was right. he's a man who will bleed and say that he is being cleansed. he fought a war and calls it his whetstone. pain either carries a cause or becomes its own justification. the former is vastly preferable to the latter. carries an abandonment complex the size of the fucking moon. which is probably why he went from serving a military force to a supposedly cosmic being who happens to be sadistic but also apocalyptic. ABILITIES ridiculously high iq for problem solving. ridiculously low iq for literally anything else. | HISTORY the newspaper tells him that the war is past, but he's not past. but the news doesn't write for little boys with a mouthful of broken teeth and a broken fatherland. some days it's hard to remember what he's doing here. home in a field of bleached bones in the sun. sometimes he walks into a city that isn't bombed over and feels even more out of place there. a little girl offers him water. he points his gun at her head, but the order to shoot never comes. once he might have felt relief. all that he has left is a grey confusion. don't these people know? the fatherland is only trying to protect them. instead, they spit on the very idea of unity and dismantle the only peace that they have (that he has). what was the cadence that the armies followed on the road? he cannot sing the song while angels fall. a holy man tells him that the world never deviated from its score. the conductor has yet to abandon his audience. there's too much hope on the line for stefan not to believe it.
